About Me
Who I am
I've loved music and the theatre since I could walk, attending ballet classes and musical theatre groups throughout all of my childhood. As I progressed through secondary school, I discovered my wider love for music as a whole and developed my classical knowledge. I trained as a classical singer whilst also following the developments in the musical theatre scene, and broadening my compositional skills. As I started my time at The University of Edinburgh enrolled in a Music degree, I began training in musical theatre singing. I still maintain the classical aspects of my voice through my regular performances as part of the Edinburgh University Music Society Chorus, but am now focusing primarily on musical theatre. Through solo performances in this genre as well as following ongoing changes in the area, composing for musical theatre and reviewing various productions, I am well-versed in the area of musical theatre! My musical intrests do extend beyond this, and I am currently writing my dissertation on the revival of vinyl records.
Aside from this, I work as an administrative assistant for Saturday Music Classes at St Mary's Music School, and recently organised a charity fundraising concert involving local young performers, raising over £1000 for Young Minds. I teach voice lessons as well as music theory and GCSE/A-Level music support, and am passionate about bringing age-appropriate musical theatre to the younger generations. In my spare time, I love to collaborate with my friends, collect vinyls and am an avid snooker fan!

Experience and training
As a classical singer based in Gloucestershire, I trained under Danielle Smithson and Juliet Curnow. Upon moving to Edinburgh I continued my classical training under Katherine Aitken, before beginning my musical theatre training with Sarah Haddath.
I am in the final stages of my BMus degree at the University of Edinburgh, and through this have taken performance classes under Phil Alexander and Richard Craig.
I am highly experienced in concert organisation, through my own independent concerts and my work at St Mary's Music School. My organisational skills extend beyond this, working as a manager at ELAC Study Vacations over the summer.
